Minutes!

For all yous guys who weren't able to come.

VENUE: Still some technical difficulties here. While harbour center is a go, there are some issues with when we can set-up. If we wish to use the IDEA set-up, we may have to set things up a week early, or even hold the grad show a week early? Really? If this is the case though, hopefully we'll know soon either way - we need to know soon so we can send out invites on time. (Also, if it's too much of a thing, we could always just hold it on campus)

All posters on display at the Harbour center need to be at a really professional level. It'll be eight people to a booth, two per corner/monitor ; one trade-off will be slightly less table space, but what does that mean? Fewer candy dishes.

As per the previous post, we'll soon have pics of the harbour center to get a better idea of the facilities.

MAGIC BOXES: Craig unveiled the magic boxes that could replace computers - they're tiny, and they have fantastic HD picture quality. All you need to do is plug in a USB of your stuff and it's ready to go. They could also potentially display slide shows of our work, etc. Very neat stuff!

INVITES: The final colouring should be all done for Friday; they could potentially be mailed out by Monday. We plan on providing a map on the back, as well as a list of our sponsors. All will be ready to go soon with these invites!

POSTERS: We need to start thinking about how many we're going to need, where we'll be posting them, etc.

BAGS: We discussed the expense of printing up fabric bags versus using what remained of last year's blue plastic bags. We may just recycle and use what remains of those - that or we may be able to get a good deal on Cap University fabric bags instead? This may solve the bag issue - we'll be deciding on this soon, anyhow.

BUTTONS: Again, we are still considering lots of different options, again possibly getting our own button machine if it proves cost-effective? But then again not everyone wants to design buttons. Stay tuned for more updates on the possibility of buttons.

GRADBOOK: The cover layout is looking good - and it'll be similar to last year in the collaborative/collage aspect, so the gradbook committee need our help! Folders are already up on tsunami for submissions. (For digital and 2d) At the moment, cover submissions are being accepted until some point in MID-MARCH.

So everybody, don't forget! MARCH 30th is the submission deadline for all grad pages! This year they will really be coming down hard on people who want to make frantic, last minute changes. We want to get this printed up in a timely fashion.
